Hunt Regional Healthcare, Greenville, TX, to Save $500,000 with New Medline Prime Vendor Supply Agreement
Medline Brand Products and Reduced Distribution Fees Drive Cost Savings

With healthcare providers looking for cost-saving solutions in the current economy, Medline Industries, Inc., the nation's largest privately held manufacturer and distributor of healthcare supplies, announced today the signing of a cost management prime vendor agreement with Hunt Regional Healthcare based in Greenville, TX. The five-year agreement is anticipated to save the system more than $500,000 over the term of the contract. Under the agreement, Medline will distribute its broad array of Medline brand medical and surgical products, including surgical procedure trays, patient care products, disposable protective gowns, gauze, bandages, briefs and underpads.
Medline is expected to generate more than $10 million in medical and surgical product sales from the partnership over the term of the agreement.

Medline will drive cost savings through reduced distribution fees on other national brand products, product standardization and having Medline manufactured products delivered direct to the hospital from its distribution center in Dallas. In addition, Medline will also provide enhanced reporting capabilities and offer comprehensive product utilization and education programs to help the facility control costs and achieve maximum efficiency.
